This goes well with the movement system, and ensures players are actually having a fun time when getting to the safe zone instead of just running in a straight line. The game lets players slide and double jump their way through a futuristic city with plenty of vertical elements. In lieu of a deadly gas cloud, Hyper Scape instead has different sections of the city rendered uninhabitable, which forces players to be on the run more than in other BR games. More than any other battle royale game that's come out in the past few years, Hyper Scape is all about movement. But while the combat in Hyper Scape is a bust, the game does admittedly shine in other areas. Hyper Scape's combat is perhaps the least entertaining thing about it, and in a genre that's all about shooting opponents, it's a significant flaw that will likely send most players back to their other battle royale games of choice. ![]() Players have to upgrade guns by picking up duplicates, which is a fine enough idea on paper, but the side effect is that weapons in the early stages feel under-powered with overly-restrictive magazine sizes. Player health is one reason why Hyper Scape's combat is so frustrating, but the other reason is the way the loot works. Because of this, most firefights tend to end with one player simply fleeing the scene, which is not difficult to do thanks to the game's super-quick movement system and Hack items. Hyper Scape characters have a ton of health, and the game also utilizes a regenerating health mechanic. There are a number of reasons for this, chief among them the health system. I have no offense for the new players, but its somewhat annoying to lose every single game and play slow paced games, because of the bad teamwork. Hack runner feels like it takes away your choices and forces you to adapt to those hacks that are given to you, however not every hack can be used in every situation and still have an advantage, if you are running away, you dont need neither reveal nor mine. Also the arcade game modes are fun, but its not balanced. If they get carried every single game they cannot learn. Solos for them was the perfect level of chaos and threat balance where they could learn off it. ![]() I understand that the issue could be the lack of players making it hard to come up with enough lobbies for each level, but i dont believe that is the case, and if it is, you should have added crossplay Ubi.Īlso removing the solos was a bad move for the new players. ![]() The entire idea of Ranked Gameplay was so the players could match with players their level facing challenges of their level making them develop their skills progressively. However the adrenaline cannot kick in if your teammates are dead and not communicating, making you either run, or die. Honestly, I dont mind it anymore, however I ache to have one of those great games, where, even if we dont win, we could snatch a lot of kills and give tons of assist, that is what made the game fun, the adrenaline and fast paced gameplay. I am a Plat player and in squad game mode I am always placed in a squad with players not my level. A while back, in this subreddit, me and a lot of others have expressed our opinion on how a ranking system would be good for this game, personally thinking of the new players, as they can play with someone their level if the matchmaking is affected by the rank, but it isnt, making this entire thing a shitshow.
